The work and life of a Community Education Manager in Japan

Ben's profile picture

Hi! I’m Ben, or B-san. I work at Automattic, as a Community Education Manager in the open-source WordPress project.

I’m a Christian, a husband, and a “father” to an adorable puppy Forte. I was born in Australia, but have lived pretty much my whole life in Japan.

This blog is a space where I share personal events happening in my life. My Treasure Box series is a collection of particularly special memories I’m keeping a record of so that I can come back and reflect on in future.

Thanks for stopping by!

    Figuring Out “Portfolios”

Hi all! I’ve taken a little time off WordPress.com forum volunteering and blogging this week. But I’m still here! Customer Satisfaction is Worthless, Customer Loyalty is Priceless

Hi all! Today, I will write about the forth and last customer service book I read before my reapplication. It was the thickest book, but I personally found it to be the easiest book to read out of the four I read. The author is quite blunt, but gets right to the point. The illustrations […]

    My Support Philosophy… Done (?)

Hi everyone. As part of my reapplication yesterday, I went and finished up the “My Support Philosophy” page I have been working on. I’ll keep this post short, so if you’re interested, go check that page out and let me know what you think? While the core essence of my support philosophy probably won’t change, […]

I Reapplied! – A Review of the Last Three Months

Hi all! I am pleased to announce that I have successfully submitted my reapplication today! Now, all the fun begins…?? I’m not quite sure when I will hear back from Happiness Hiring. With my last application, I heard back from them six days later. Must wait patiently… In the meantime, I plan on continuing to […]
