Hi! I’m Ben, or B-san. I work at Automattic, as a Community Education Manager in the open-source WordPress project.
I’m a Christian, a husband, and a “father” to an adorable puppy Forte. I was born in Australia, but have lived pretty much my whole life in Japan.
This blog is a space where I share personal events happening in my life. My Treasure Box series is a collection of particularly special memories I’m keeping a record of so that I can come back and reflect on in future.

White Day 2022 (Treasure Box 21)
Yesterday was White Day! In Japan, this is the day guys give back to the girls who gave them chocolates on Valentine’s Day. My wife got me chocolate teas this year on Valentine’s Day. So I tried to find something unusual for her, too.

Pork rice
My wife hasn’t been feeling well the last couple of days. So, I cooked lunch for us today! I put rice, pork and a little bit of veggies in the pressure cooker and… Voila!

Forte with his favorite toy
Forte has been with us for a little over a month now. In this time, he has doubled in size! When we got him, he was about 2kg. Now, he weighs 4kg!!

The other day, my wife handed me not 2, but 4 boiled eggs, and asked me to draw on them again. This time, the subject was… Forte!!
