The work and life of a Community Education Manager in Japan

Ben's profile picture

Hi! I’m Ben, or B-san. I work at Automattic, as a Community Education Manager in the open-source WordPress project.

I’m a Christian, a husband, and a “father” to an adorable puppy Forte. I was born in Australia, but have lived pretty much my whole life in Japan.

This blog is a space where I share personal events happening in my life. My Treasure Box series is a collection of particularly special memories I’m keeping a record of so that I can come back and reflect on in future.

Thanks for stopping by!

Exit: The Game – The Secret Lab (Treasure Box 7)

Ever since I was younger, I have always been intrigued by riddles and puzzles. My favorites are mathematical puzzles, especially if they include some aspect of geometry. The stimuli of trying to solve a puzzle gets me invigorated. When I was in primary school, I made a couple of my own puzzle books. I would […]

Sapporo Flower & Café (Treasure Box – 6)

This week, my wife and I went out for lunch one day. With the business over Christmas and the new year, it’s been a while since we’ve gone out for lunch like this. My wife had her eyes on a new place called Sapporo Flower and Café. Apparently, it’s an old flower shop that has […]

    I posted this week, but…

Hi everyone! I published a post on my blog this week, but due to a system error (a clash between a block I was using and the theme of my site, I think…) I had to retract the post. The post is back up now, so you can access it again from this link ?? […]
